Cafe Mayıs

My friends Banu, Zeynep and Deniz reopened their cafe in Şaşkınbakkal. The new place is in the same district as the first one, but much better located. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, to feel at home is guaranteed. The home made dishes are delicious. Delivery service is available. It's on the Bağdat Caddesi between Bambi Cafe and the sports equipment shop.

Snowy and foggy

in Kalamış with Aylin

Last Monday was my first day in İstanbul. I spent the afternoon with Aylin. I shot some pictures at her flat for my other blog: http://gunselsalbum.blogspot.com/. After the work, we went down to the beautiful Kalamış Park located close to her house, where we met some cute stray dogs.

I took these pictures at 09:00 o'clock in the morning with my Samsung touch screen cellular phone from the top of the Galata Tower. I'd rather shoot with my Canon Powershot but its panorama function leaves much to be desired. Time to upgrade the camera...

One evening I decided to make some panorama pictures early in the morning from the top of the Galata Tower. Surprizingly, after a series of sunshiny days, the next day Istanbul was foggy and cloudy. What I could make were these photos and some gray panoramas. I will post the panoramas later. They are not bad.
